Crisis

Lehman Brothers, the world's 4th largest investment bank, collapsed Monday after it filed for bankruptcy in the United States. This sent a huge tsunami across the world financial markets and a wave of pessimism soon followed.

And then, as if to add salt to the wound...
AIG was reported to have been seeking cash to keep itself afloat. Scores of people lined up outside AIA's offices here and seek to terminate their policies, in fear that they could end up with nothing should AIG be the next to collapse.

But fear not, there is always regulations! MAS has assured all here that everything is still under control. Let's hope AIG does not become another Lehman Brothers, else who knows what the domino will hit next.

We certainly do not want another 1930s.
